Hey All.
I want to deprotect a Warcraft III ROC map (Arena Nexus) to fix one of the triggers for an "allrandom" game. The mapmaker made a trigger so that nobody can repick in the game, but forgot to apply it to all the players and it only prohibits the Red Player from repicking his hero. The mapmaker has also become inactive in Warcraft III (considering the map was made in 2005), and has an inactive email account, so I can't get a deprotected version from him.
I am familiar with the game's script (JASS) and would be able to change the trigger, but the map has a nasty protection on it and the deprotection tools I have only allow me to view the map, not save an edited version. If there are any geeks out there who could teach me to deprotect the map for editing, or could just make the change themselves if I sent it to them, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hello, You can try this website: deprotect.nathanmx.com/But maps that are pretty popular on Warcraft III are usually protected extremely well, especially if they were created with the TFT editor. If the deprotector doesn't work (from the link above) you can try to google War 3 Map deprotector's. However, a map protector corrupts the files in a map, which makes it extrememly difficult to uncorrupt; so no deprotector is perfect...

Well, this guy seems to have a pretty legitimate reason for unprotecting the map, just trying to fix it and not add in cheats or something of the sorts.
