Hey prep, i was wondering if you could tell me how to add a song to a rkr map but without making the file size huge, most of the songs i try always end up making b.net tell me that the game is too big and then i cant host it. Help ;D

In the past I have come across many issues adding full songs to maps. The way I get around the bnet error is a Map Protector. Before you play your map, protect it. Unless the protector is horrible, bnet should let it be played. It is a pain to edit something in a map, then protect it, then test it, then uprotect it, then go back and edit it. So what I suggest is to put the song in and protect it and test it. If the song works without any problems then take it out and don't put it back in until the map is finished.
Edit- You can also try to not add a FULL song to the map. Just a piece of it may work depending on what type of music you are going for.

If the song is an MP3 thats fine but it uses more space. what you can do is change it to a Wav. file because, the editor automaticly takes Wav. files and compresses them to fit to map unless the song is really that big. if thats the case, then download a Music Resizing program (google it) and then reduce the file size there, if its a good program it should also allow u to convert it into a Wav. file so making it even better.
There is a tool called Vexorians Optimizer, where it rebuilds the MPQ, resulting in making the hole map file size smaller of everything it is a BIT confuzing to use if you don't have much knowledge of the MPQ. but it doesn't take a genus!

Wow its actually kind of funny that you mention changing it to wav and making it smaller size and everything. I actually just dove into the topic of adding songs to maps because I had two songs inside lava maze and the file size was Huge even after optimizing. So I did a lot of research and did basically what you just said to do dragon. It worked well and my map was able to be hosted, but we ended up taking the songs out anyways because they made the download time too long for a maze.
If I remember correctly I found this at The Hive. If you can't find anything through google try there.
