Ok, then there is simple advice I can give you, test it by doing all of the following, then if it works take one step away and test it again, untill you get down to only 1 or 2 steps so you dont completely shut down the defence system of your computer.... : 1. Shut off the Windows Firewall (this is the ONLY problem for A LOT of people) 2. Open your firewall (i think you said it was Mcafee) and disable that, or open port 6112 if you know how to do that (they do the same thing) 3. Unblock Warcraft III in windows/Mcafee. Here are more steps if you have a router and don't really realize it... these won't work if you don't have a router..... : ok.... follow every step exactly... first : click start..... then click run .... then type cmd in box ..... then type ipconfig in that box and press enter...... now there is a line that says default gateway....open up your browser ( internet explorer or something ) and type that default gateway into the address box in your browser ......( minimize that command prompt box )......... it should pop up with a box that says it needs your user name and password ...... type it in ( if you dont know it ask a parent or something what it might be default is admin, admin ) ...... now it should show up with like a linksys page..... at the top there is security..... click on it ..... then it should show firewall with a box that says enable and one with disable...... click the disable one (not everyone needs this disabled, but some do)...... now one more thing....... click on applications and gaming........ok in the application line put whatever you want like warcraft 3 or whatever .........then in the start line put 6112 ..........and in the end line put 6112 ........make protocol both .........ok now unminimize that command prompt box......there is a line that says ip address......put the numbers after the last box( like if it was 145.423.1.79 you would put 79 into it ) into the ip address spot on the linksys page.......now check enable.........At the bottom of that page there should be a box that says save settings ........ CLICK IT..... now you can exit out of it all.....o yeah one more thing.....go into warcraft 3 and click options.....then click gameplay........and there should be a game port section.......make sure it says 6112 in it ( it is default that it would but just in case )......ok now you should be able to host ! if you have any comments or questions just e-mail me. Im going to bed now, I will respond to any further messages tomorrow, I hope this helps!

It changes, I dont know what changes it.. but it does..
At my Mom's house I don't need to change the firewall on the router at all, but at my Dad's house I need to shut the firewall on the router off.... The have the same router type, same # of computers ... I don't really see any reason, except one of them has McAffee Virus Protection and one has Avast Virus Protection
If hosting doesn't work, I would suggest trying it with the router firewall off because that can effect it.

That site does not work for me, because that does not give me the IP address I need to open the ports, mabey it is different for you.... And I wasn't talking about this post.. I meant: theimmortalbros.proboards85.com/index.cgi?board=techsupport&action=display&thread=1182402284&page=1That one is kinda like the one I directed people to, away from this one, "Well, there are a few other posts about that on this board (the one I moved your thread to) Try the things that they say, and then respond back."And on your question, what does it say when it "doesnt let you"? Does it say there is something wrong with username/password?.. cause ur parents, or u depending on ur age probably set a username/password when they first got the router..

First, what kind of router do you have(they are all different). It will say the name somewhere on it, typically in big letters. Second, not every router has security so its ok if it does not. However, most do, which means there is a high chance that you are not on the correct page. There is also a Tutorial on hosting now: theimmortalbros.proboards85.com/index.cgi?board=tutorialvault&action=display&thread=271If you read method 2, it should help you a good amount. ~~ Welcome to The Immortal Bros ~~

I am having trouble when i try to host. When your on the website of your router it didn't have security for me? What router are you using, does it take you to a Quest page, Linksys page, etc? Better yet what company are you getting your internet access from? On some sites the place to open your ports will be under firewall instead of security.
