For those of you who have played warcraft iii online in the last 5 or so days, you have probably noticed that you received an update one of the times you logged in. That update was Patch 1.21b. The patch itself does nothing related to gameplay. It does one thing: "- The game no longer requires the CD to play." This means that from now on, you do not need to put the Warcraft III CD into your computer to open Warcraft III. This doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but it contributes to a few more things. Because the game no longer has to search for a cd when it loads, the startup time is much faster. The startup time decrease is included in ROC, TFT, and World Editor. Now, it takes about 2-3 seconds on an average computer to open Warcraft III . Also, it has been reported that there is also some sort of Anti-MapHack system with it. This is not said by Blizzard, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. Shadowfrench will probably find away around it very soon. *Note: if you have not received the patch yet, you need to have your CD inside your computer until you do receive the patch. Link to the announcemnt made by Blizzard.

I said this in the other topic but it seems that they have also snuck in a Anti Maphack system that kicks you off the game. All other shadowfrench programs like the spoofer and custom kick still work though.

This isnt the thread about the last patch lol, but anyways the stats delete was intentional because they reset the ladder for a new season.

Luckily the deletion of stats only got rid of your level, like it normally does at the start of a ladder season. You still keep wins/losses/percentages and stuff, for icons. And resetting the levels gives you a chance at making yourself look even better without all those cheap loses By the way, magma is correct.. this post is discussing the patch made in February. A post for the newer patch is located here.
